Class Work

Class work is divided into three categories:

  1. Visual Design
  2. Content Design
  3. Technical Design

Visual Design consists of the evaluation of existing websites, learning Adobe Photoshop as a tool to “sketch” compositions for websites, and understanding how to utilize Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for aesthetic and usability benefits.

Content Design consists of the actual information that will go into the sight. Students will learn how to categorize information effectively, define audiences and goals for creating a good website, and understand the correlation between seamless content and search engine optimization.

Technical Design is the framework of building a website. They will learn how the Internet works, the importance of file size, how to optimize images, and how to code in HTML. They will then learn how to use CSS to actually build their websites.
